It seemed curious from the start -- how NPR was promoting Tig Notaro, and her cancer comedy set with such intense enthusiasm. Not as strange, but still curious when you learn that Nick Kroll has made it widely known that this Tig Notaro is his, "Best and oldest comedy friend."
Then, you learn that Jules and Lynn and Jeremy, and who knows what other Kroll- write big checks to NPR,
The fact that at that exact time period(When Ira Glass seemed to be so taken with Notaro's Taylor Dayne piece and then with her cancer tape) coincided with Notaro being sued by me for big damages, due to her stalking scam with Nick Kroll, is not yet well known. At that exact time, it was looking like Nick Kroll really had screwed over Notaro- she wouldn't get away with their very costly and criminal malicious prosecution against me. Instead of having her apologize, he counseled her to get Lavely and Singer to bury me, and it went to the depths when I fought back. On April 25th 2012, Judge Fruin said things, on the record, that made it seem that Notaro was going to rightfully lose everything. Nick had to make it up to her somehow. He'd make the calls to get her the fame that had eluded her so far.
Then, you see that Kroll "experts" are regularly on NPR, when this is a name that has been associated with cover ups and global corruption(not fighting corruption- perpetuating corruption)
Terry Gross and Ira Glass were so dead-set on selling Tig Notaro's "cancer tape," even when any intelligent human would at least have questions.... say about her claiming that she beat cancer with no treatments, and that she signed a book deal when being "heavily drugged" and perhaps Terry Gross would say, "Hey, "Tig"...Louis CK just claimed that you and him had a very dramatic back stage meeting, and yet you just said you never saw him backstage. And you have changed the time of diagnosis five time and the treatments three times."
Maybe, Gross would question too why Notaro wasn't citing any charities, when the deal on Louis CK's website was that "most of it would go to cancer related charities." And, what about Kira Hesser and how her blog was cited by major publications - even before she remembered to post it... And, then there's the 10 million emails in the early morning due to Louis CK's tweet story, and yet .... He tweeted that at 2.19 PM the next day. And, hey Tig why did After Ellen say Missy Pyle was to be your mastectomy scar witness when Nick Kroll would later say it was Stephanie Allyne (Who also got a roll on the Kroll Show)
Ira Glass went to Nick Kroll's Bentzen Ball (Kroll funded the whole thing, though he doesn't want you to know that), and Ira Glass went on Reddit to promote Notaro's cancer tape... Glass even admitted that such a promotion is unusual for him. Hmmm... I went to Reddit to find the link, and someone took it off.. Hmmm again.
So so many more questions they could have asked of Notaro- Here's but four small links-

Ira Glass, in particular, devoted show after show and openly was plugging this Tig as the second coming of ... say... a David Sedaris. He actually compared her to Bob Dylan. He must have giggled like a school girl when saying such a crazy bit of bullshit. Later I'd see comment sections full of bafflement about why they'd be so over the top with this, "story."
You'd think it's cause she created something great. Yet, no one else seemed to be on board that this was such a hot property, but trollish sorts who were saying "buy it. buy it. buy it- it's genius."
Those I spoke to those - who had heard it on NPR- and they were mystified at the hype, but they figured they must have been missing something. Surely, such reputable sorts like Ira Glass and Terry Gross wouldn't steer us astray.
Then, when I finally got around to hearing some of Notaro's "Live" on Terry Gross's, "Fresh Air," I saw nothing resembling what Terry Gross and Ira Glass(et al etc.) were trying to plug. By no stretch of any clean imagination, was it living up to the hype of certain publications and entities.
Say it ain't so NPR. But, then... why would they tarnish their supposed integrity for this Tig Notaro?Surely, she doesn't have the power or prestige or money or.... ???
I couldn't argue that. By all appearances, she never had the clout to fix court cases, and then get away with faking cancer either.
But, in this cancer case, and my grotesque stalking case -- and then with how people like Ira Glass and Terry Gross expressed endless enthusiasm for Notaro's cancer set - appearances were very deceiving.
In a Nutshell: Nick Kroll's and family fund for favors. It's an effective way to succeed. Nick Kroll has even admitted to this practice on Notaro's own podcast. He spoke of how he's nice to airline workers cause soon they'll return the favor (HUH!) and then how he's nice to comedians cause soon they'll return the favor... He also is known to send spa invites to comedians he sees as successful, and he recently sent some comedians on a charity trip to Africa. Well, by all appearances it was a trip to Africa for a Malaria cause. But, if you dig deeper the charity was Nick Kroll, and the company that sent them first class to Africa was Alere Toxicology. Guess what Alere Toxicology was called back in 2010(before they got sued for malpractice) .... They were called Kroll Laboratory Specialists. All Googlable, of course. I am not alone in the IMPRESSION that Jules Kroll's money is influencing, "alternative comedy," to a large degree. Daniel Tosh gives a hint to his audience at minute 8. 15.

How his father has honed that I want you in my debt M.O: http://henypire.blogspot.com/2014/01/review-of-kroll-show.html
In particular: This article in Business Weekhttp://www.businessweek.com/stories/1998-11-08/jules-kroll-danger-is-his-business gives a compelling overview:
In the late 1970s, he(Jules Kroll) helped create a new market for corporate investigations. A onetime Manhattan assistant district attorney, he realized that corporations would pay big for an investigative firm that could dig out employee fraud and other malfeasance. He recruited a savvy coterie of former CIA spies, FBI agents, and prosecutors by paying them as much as twice their public-sector salaries.
Nick Kroll has admitted to wanting to run comedy like his father runs his empire, and he has said that his father is proud of him cause he's showing him how "he's the boss." And, how his approach to comedy has been "Entrepreneurial."
He did tell the Washington Post this about Notaro, " I would do anything for Tig" and he went on to tell the pawn journo that "Tig is my oldest and best comedy friend." And, I happen to know that that anything would extend to baring false witness on several occasions in a court of law, and fixing court cases(and any related public perception) for Notaro from 2008 till the present.
Then, you have this
http://www.npr.org/2014/01/19/263749123/before-jersey-shore-owned-sleaze-there-was-bobby-bottleservice and if you see that same link presented on NPR's Facebook page and the comments.... well, it isn't only I that is PERP-LEXED about NPR acting very sleazily when Nick Kroll is concerned.https://www.facebook.com/NPR/posts/10100566227347803
Amazingly, NPR has been pushing Nick Kroll since 2005, when he and his brother in Law, Roger Bennet, decided to want to have careers in the arts. The problem is that NPR is not telling the public that in exchange for donations from Jules and Lynn Kroll,or even Roger Bennett and Nick Kroll(They can make or break a show when they can write checks for millions) they are passing off "sponsored content" as genuine admiration.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5049433
As an aside: Roger Bennett is the son of a big judge in England. He married Vanessa Kroll- Nick Kroll's big sister. They actually got this "project" plugged in the Jerusalem Post way back then... That is for me, at least-- scary as hell.
Also, there is a Roger Bennet that is a big shot with ESPN Nick Kroll has repeatedly been given suspicious coverage over at ESPN.... Is that the same brother in law/comedy co-writer who is featured on NPR. Well, I'll find out ASAP.
Here's some evidence of Grantland acting unethically for Nick Kroll: https://theumpires.quora.com/Grantland-should-learn-from-The-Atlantic
And, I suggest you read Grantland writer, Molly Lambert's articles on Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, and Tig Notaro... Molly Lambert is on the take, without a doubt. How do we know for sure -- Well, she though the Mulaney show was fabulolus!!! OMG
Here's the FISHY NPR plug on Facebook, and the comments that followed.
Nick
Kroll's sketch comedy TV series, "Kroll Show," kicked off its second
season this month. One of his signature characters is a seedy, wannabe
ladies man named Bobby Bottleservice. Kroll says playing a variety of
characters keeps him from being pigeon-holed by his role as Ruxin on the
FX show "The League."

Since learned: Jule Kroll does due diligence for major media conglomerates. Their due diligence allowed Pitchfork to be bought up by Conde Nast. Google Nick Kroll Pitchfork, or Tig Notaro Pitchfork to see how big those two are on a MUSIC PUBLICATION. Who know what other publications are willing to pretend these two are major comedy stars for a good due diligence report from Jules Kroll.
