Willen's windfall began in May 2008 - when in exchange for lying under oath, at a restraining order hearing she was given a job as a photographer, AND an all expense paid trip to Aspen Colorado. When the stakes got higher, the incentives would get bigger and according to Notaro's own words to Willen via MySpace-would include a HORSE, for Christ's sake. (see below)
Soon after Willen was given all that, Nick Kroll saw his own future being compromised by what he'd done, and the prizes for Willen would get even more generous. The prizes for her participation would come to include rigged writing contest wins, a role in a Funny or Die Video, sitting with Ira Glass on NPR's, "This American Life," winning an LA press award(when the only contact or connection she has to the press is Nick Kroll)
Willen's crimes of lying to the police and perjury, and then her agreement to commit more perjury at a criminal trial, was parlayed into a list of credits that swayed someone at Simon and Shuster to give the ruthless grifter,Willen, a book deal with Simon and Shuster.
To start getting all these goodies, Willen agreed to back up the lies created by Notaro on April 7th 2008 ... and here it gets confusing... Notaro began creating defamatory lies on that date about an alleged incident she'd say occurred nine months earlier- on August 29th 2007,
The lie Notaro had told, on April 7 2008, was that I had to be removed from the Largo theater, on that day, because I'd physically assaulted Notaro and verbally harassed both ladies 9 months before .
Once I fought back against this lie - by going online, and writing about it on my blog, and then on a message board, and then when Notaro wouldn't stop it, no matter how many appeals were made, and I had no choice but to sue her for defamation and abuse of process, all evidence leads to the conclusion that Notaro once again called on her friend, Nick Kroll, and he decided that Notaro's brand would be tarnished if something extreme wasn't done . Due to his incredible connections in the Los Angeles law enforcement and legal community, he had an easy time setting the extreme measures in motion.
At first the measure would include setting Notaro up with Marty Singer's infamous Lavely and Singer law firm and obtaining for Notaro the services of future Kroll employees like Jeffrey Dunn and John Gregozek of the LAPD's corrupted Threat Management Unit.

To clean up the possible disaster that loomed for Notaro, these actors were directed by Kroll to do what they could to make me look like a "crazy stalker" and even a drunk, in a court of law, so they could take the frauds and cover up for Notaro's malicious lies by making her lies look officially sanctioned by the police and courts.
The unemployed and living off the kinds of strangers, Willen .was brought in to to bear false witness as to the night of August 29th 2007 - so as to save Notaro's "brand" and then to save both of them the liability they should have faced if the truth were known and then a few months later, when I sued Notaro for defamation and abuse of process, the stakes got higher and the solution for them, by all indications, was to use Nick Kroll's connections to set up a malicious criminal prosecution that would serve to stop me from writing the truth about Notaro on line, and the to sabotage the civil claims against them.
Notaro would end up inventing four fabricated incidents. to get out of the mess she'd created for me and herself. Willen could only be brought in to back her up as to events they'd concocted as to August 29th 2007, and so Willen's lies will be limited to one date and easier to present here.
Both would tell highly inconsistent stories about the night of August 29th 2007, but the gist was that in the throes of some( invented by them) love triangle, I had verbally assaulted both Willen and Notaro,during an open mic poetry and comedy night in Silverlake, before according to both , I'd cap off the encounter by physically assaulting Notaro.
They couldn't decide though if the assault occurred inside the packed coffee house or outside, see. And they both failed to remember correctly what was said or done inside or outside that coffee shop. And then both failed to confer sufficiently with each other,as to whether or whether not I had chased the ladies down in one car, or two cars, or no cars whatsoever. But all those flagrant failures to even lie decently were rendered unimportant in courts of law because they had Nick Kroll pulling the strings that allowed them to get away with crime after crime, time after time after time after time.
Again both would tell tales replete with inconsistency and improbability, but both would not only allege physical violence but both would create for assorted Detectives, courts, and then city attorney prosecutors all sorts of dialogue and actions that never took place. Soon that wasn't enough lies for these two, and in later accounts both would create more and more.
So before I can show the time line of how Willen was rewarded by Notaro and Kroll, for her complicity in what would became an insanely costly and lawless malicious persecution, let me show you that Stef Willen lied to Detective John Gregozek, and James Hoffman and then to Judge Rosenberg and then to prosecutors Martin Boags and Katie Ford, when they couldn't break me down and the case was scheduled for trial in March of 2010. A trial that ended in very rare and telling dismissals by the judge FYI.

Here Willen goes outside. Very important cause that changes to inside when Notaro keeps having to recall her faked scenario....
So Willen claims it was outside AND after calling Willen a Dumb ugly dyke I push Notaro.
Take note that here the brave Willen steps between us. Notable cause Notaro will say she stepped in front of Willen and I. Keep your false drama stories straight, ladies!
Also highly noteworthy, since both will change the story - after being assaulted outside the ladies walk away as I shout insults.

Nothing about inside or outside. Totally different words used and no approaching them at table. No bottle of liquor here. AND most importantly nothing about a push.
Okay so we can surmise (or is it wishful thinking)that Willen just can't bring herself to lie about violence or chasing cars down, under oath. Here she just can fumble up something about denigrating her character and a "slurry of words." ... And the judge requires nothing more of her. He actually is coaching her and Notaro and the other false witnessed. And the judge would appear to take no note of the to the fact that Notaro and Willens versions are completely at odd s with each other, and that both version go against the sworn statement Notaro submitted to the court just three weeks before.
When Kroll put in more calls to make a bogus and malicious restraining order matter turn into a criminal prosecution, I had to urge the public defender to get an investigator. Eventually a Franica Tawn agreed, and a investigatore named Neil Spector would contact Willen, amongst others. Willen would make herself unavailable so as not to talk to Mr. Spector
During the same time period, I was forced to track down witnesses, cause I sure knew nothing Notaro, Willen and the others brought in to close the deal) were alleging was true.
In other words, one of the what they said I'd said was true, and that not only was there never a push that night or any other night, there was never any scene of any kind
Forced to track down anyone who could back up my story, since when I called Detective James Hoffman and told him to talk to Sam who I knew had to have seen or not seen anything, Hoffman laughed and said, "We are not going to Silverlake talk to witnesses for something like this."
The TMU is headquartered in Downtown L.A and Silverlake is minutes away. Hoffman's refusal to talk to anyone but Willen and Notaro and his suggestion that Silverlake was too much effort is particularly obscene if you consider what the literal and figurative lengths Gregozek, Hoffman, Defore and then the whole TMU unit would go to to assure victory for Nick Kroll and his "best and oldest comedy friend."
No matter how many times I begged him or anyone who could set the record straight, Hoffman or Gregozke would steadfastly refused to speak to Sam or Julius Quinn or Officer Jaqueline Montalvo, or Officer Badar or Leslie Wolf or Ellen Tunney or Heidi Feigin , and the many other witnesses that surely must exist. when someone lies about something happening in places full of people.
Sam Cosuegra not only was as unbiased a witness as you can have, his version contrasts completely with Willen and Notaros. Sam is a man of few words, but his short statements should have said more than enough, if we weren't dealing with a prosecution where Jules Kroll's son and Marty Singer were pulling the strings.
Then you have to wonder if someone got to Sam in between when Investigator for the public defender showed up a few months later:
Before we get into how Willen would return (in the presence of a uh uh victims rights person no less) to bare more false witness and to try her best to make me look as bad as possible to prosecutors a year later...
Note that Willen's last name is redacted from the investigator's reports for no legal or rational reason considering the facts long available to them and note that Willen was never asked to submit any signed witness statements.
Before we get to how Willen was brought back to invent even uglier lies in an effort to get me wrongfully convictd, let's look at what Willen said vs what Notaro said:

While sitting together and waiting at tsunamis café late one night for this deaf landlord to show up Notaro said that Alisa all of a sudden and surprisingly walked in. Notaro stated that Alisa immediately walked up to their table and “accused” them meaning herself and Willen of being together. Notaro stated Alisa then began yelling and cussing at the two of them. Notaro said is was very much a verbal tirade against the two of them. While Alisa continued yelling at both of them Notaro said a mini bottle of vodka fell out of one. of Spitzberg’s jacket pockets. At one point while all of this was going on Notaro said she then stood up and she was now standing right next to Alisa.
After standing up, Notaro stated that Alisa then Shoved her with both her hands, as well as she next said, “ are you Steph’s keeper.”
After that had occurred Notaro advised that both she and Willen then left this coffee shop, due to the fact they didn’t want any more violence to occur on Alisa’s part. As they quickly walked out of this coffee shop, Notaro said that Alisa continued to follow them out of this location on foot.

In late August of 2007, I accompanied my friend Stephanie to the Tsunami Café in Silverlake, CA. Alisa Spitzberg approached us at our table and aggressively yelled insults at the two of us, including, “fucking dyke,.” “ugly.” “cunt,” “bitch.” Etc.
We ignored her and went outside, but she followed us and became angrier and more belligerent. As I motioned for Stephanie to gather her belongings to leave, Alisa came closer and pushed me.

Flash forward to a year later. Mindblowing and deeply evil efforts would be taken by Notaro,Willen,Kroll, Allison Hart of Lavely and Singer, The LAPD's Threat Management Unit, and then many others when I wouldn't give in and they feared exposure and liability for the damages done to be this far

After agreeing to lie about some of what Notaro wanted her to lie about, Notaro went on her Myspace page and wrote this on Willen's Myspace page:

A few days after Stef Willen was brought on board again to bolster any claim that there was a violation of the illegal order which was really the scheme they created to sabotage the civil suit against Notaro and ultimately Willen too if the suit would proceed in any logical and lawful way. ....Pasted to show the date of the report - August 1 2008

And we can guess that Notaro not only was giving Willen all sorts of gifts and incentives to cover up for her decision to falsely allege violence and stalking on April 7th 2008, but she wanted to rub that in against her victims, and publicly remind Willen what good could come to her if she pleased Notaro.
Why else write those things on Stef Willen's Myspace for all to see? Bribes for false testimony when Willen and Notaro's credibility should have been a consideration for the upcoming civil and criminal trials and for the validity of the restraining order.
In 2007, before I had the grave misfortune of crossing paths with Stef Willen, Willen was living off th ethe kindness of others, and had no writing credits to her name whatsoever, and only two small acting credits on her artistic resume. One a short and one a feature that she too got due to her relationship with a Mathilde "Tig" Notaro. Willen had told me that when Notaro dumped her "she'd lost everything. Her friends. her work" At the time, I didn't grasp what that meant, but now due to overwhelming evidence of what she's been able to gain by her association with Notaro, I get what she meant back then and though I can't imagine doing what Willen would do to get ahead in life, I see now that she saw Tig Notaro as her meal ticket and was willing to do anything to get that meal ticket back.
When I crossed Willen's path, was barely employed and living rent free at the house of two women she alleged were racists and domestic abusers.
After Willen met me and saw a way to use meeting me to some advantage i.e get Notaro to feel ash ehad to be protected and therefore get Notaro to get jealous or interested in her again. Willen was first rewarded with a job as a photographer for Notaro's "Crackpot tour" Then when she agreed to provide false testimony to police and then under oath in a court of law at a restraining order hearing , she got the aspen trip from Notaro. When Notaro knew she was going to be sued for defamation and they had to do something, Notaro told Willen that things were looking up for Willen, and not only did those friends that went missing after the breakup come back but now Notaro had bought Willen a horse as reward for GOD'S SAKE.

If anyone is wondering how a then completely unknown comedian like "Tig" Notaro could not only afford the services of the Lavely and Singer Lawfirm but a new horse for Willen as reward for perjury etc... Well, the answer to that is Jules Kroll's wealthy and fame starved son, Nick Kroll.
Then when the stakes got higher for Notaro and all those who had lied up till this point, the rewards got bigger and better for Willen and Nick Kroll was really hustling to keep her on board.
Nick Kroll ( who was funding and directing this production) got his his friends at Mcsweeneys (John Hodgmen et al) to award her a win for "best column" and then right before trial Nick would not just set up a comedy festival to reward and incentivize three alleged "witnesses" to keep up the lies... but Nick Kroll gave Willen a spot on a Funny or Die Video and then suddenly the unknown Willen who would never be on Ira Glass's "This American Life" was sitting there with Ira Glass. Not satisfied with getting on that show in the wrongest way imaginable, Willen now makes the easily verifiable false claim that she is a regular contributor to NPR. Any google search shows that she was only allowed on that one time right before my trial was scheduled to start.
Then we can guess that Willen was really pushing her luck and parlaying her false accusations andagreement to commit perjury into more bennies. Willen won an LA press award for the same Mcsweeney's column she'd won by fraud. Nick Kroll is very connected in the LA press and it should be noted nothing about Willen's ill gotten column in Mcsweeneys' had anything to do with journalism or the press. It makes no sense why she'd be about to boast such an award but boast it she does.
Soon after, all these seemingly impressive frauds were used to either to trick some agent and then publisher into thinking Willen must be some hot property
How exactly it went down- whether Nick Kroll just wrote them a big check to cover any printing an publication costs or they just were tricked into thinking Willen's Mcsweeeney's win and then LA press award made Willen worthy of a publishing contract, I'm not sure.
I am sure that absent Nick Kroll's string pulling, she would not have won any Mcsweeneys contest, been on NPR or Funny or Die, won a LA press award and no publisher would feel as if giving her a publishing deal would make any sense.
I am also sure that Stef Willen is a serial liar. But not just some chronic liar of the harmless white lie variety. The kind of liar who will lie to get what she wants even if the lies include falsely accusing those who let her in their home and befriend her. The kind of liar that enjoys or at the very best doesn't mind the idea that the victim of her false accusations is being illegally jailed and even facing a sinister competency to stand trial scheme due to . The kind of liar who could care less and even has shown enjoyment in framing innocent people and then putting them through incredible trauma and pain, as she agrees to lie top police and then under oath and then to prosecutors.
I can show a strong circumstantial case as to how she went from not having one writing credit to getting trips and even horses from Tig Notaro. Then when the stakes for Notaro and Kroll got higher, Willen cashed in her chips to get to win big writing contests, getting on NPR, getting cast in funny or die vide dand then a publishing deal with Simon and Shusters' Atria Imprint.
But first here's the case against Willen as a false accuser and a perjurer when it came to the civil and criminal cases she'd play a part in instigating and then continued it for years.

JUST DID STUFF -- TRYING TO DENIGRATE OUR CHARACTER;

Notaro’s statement to LAPD- as to the August 29, 2007 “incident.
In September 2007 - Spitzberg arrived at the coffee shop and confronted Willen and Notaro. Willen ignored Spitzberg and walked out of the shop with Notaro. Spitzberg stepped in front of Willen and said, “You trying to avoid me.” Willen ignored Spitzberg who then pushed Notaro.
Notaro and Willen left without reporting the incident.
Notaro statement to Spector –investigator for Public Defender
While sitting together and waiting at tsunamis café late one night for this deaf landlord to show up Notaro said that Alisa all of a sudden and surprisingly walked in. Notaro stated that Alisa immediately walked up to their table and “accused” them meaning herself and Willen of being together. Notaro stated Alisa then began yelling and cussing at the two of them. Notaro said is was very much a verbal tirade against the two of them. While Alisa continued yelling at both of them Notaro said a mini bottle of vodka fell out of one. of Spitzberg’s jacket pockets. At one point while all of this was going on Notaro said she then stood up and she was now standing right next to Alisa.
After standing up, Notaro stated that Alisa then Shoved her with both her hands, as well as she next said, “ are you Steph’s keeper.”
After that had occurred Notaro advised that both she and Willen then left this coffee shop, due to the fact they didn’t want any more violence to occur on Alisa’s part. As they quickly walked out of this coffee shop, Notaro said that Alisa continued to follow them out of this location on foot.

In late August of 2007, I accompanied my friend Stephanie to the Tsunami Café in Silverlake, CA. Alisa Spitzberg approached us at our table and aggressively yelled insults at the two of us, including, “fucking dyke,.” “ugly.” “cunt,” “bitch.” Etc.
We ignored her and went outside, but she followed us and became angrier and more belligerent. As I motioned for Stephanie to gather her belongings to leave, Alisa came closer and pushed me.

“SO I HAD COFFEE WITH STEF, AND ALISA WALKED IN. AND WHEN SHE SAW US SITTING TOGETHER, SHE SAID -- SHE SAT DOWN AND WAS LIKE:
OH ARE YOU GUYS BACK TOGETHER?AND WE WERE JUST IGNORING HER. SHE WAS VERY AGGRESSIVE, AND VERY JUST PERSISTENT AND GOT IN OUR SPACE WE IGNORED HER. AND THEN A BOTTLE OF VODKA FELL OUT OF HER PURSE, AND SHE PUT IT BACK IN HER PURSE, AND SHE KEPT SAYING: "YOU KNOW, YOU GUYS LOOK GREAT TOGETHER. THIS IS GREAT," AND, YOU KNOW, WHATEVER. SHE SAID: "ARE YOU TRYING TO AVOID ME?"
I KEPT SAYING TO STEF TO JUST IGNORE HER, JUST IGNORE HER. THEN ALISA SAID: "OH, ARE YOU HER FUCKING KEEPER?"
I SAID, "GO GET YOUR STUFF. LET'S JUST GO." AND WHEN I DID, ALISA GOT IN MY FACE AND PUSHED ME.

AND THEN STEF WENT IN TO GET HER STUFF. WE WALKED OUT OF THE CAFE TOWARDS THE -- WHERE WE WERE PARKED ON THE STREET, AND ALISA FOLLOWED US AGAIN CALLING US DISGUSTING BULL DIKES, CUNTS, JUST ALL THESE HORRENDOUS NAMES.
